Initiated by the saker brothers, Eddy and Basel, on the wood is a fusion of Lebanese and Italian cuisine. Focusing more on their cultural heritage, they have got a variety of items made of fresh and good quality ingredients. Their menu contains divergent varieties ranging from baked to savory and sweet dishes. Sited in Mabelah and Shatti Al Qurum, On the wood's good ambiance with harmonious interior makes the customers feel welcomed.
PROS:
A quality restaurant that delivers a laid back atmosphere with outgoing and kind waiters.
The food is delicious and is served in reasonable quantity and pricing.
The menu has a diverse list of healthy and mouth-watering meals.
The place has something for vegetarians and meat-lovers while keeping everyone's health in mind.
CONS:
Even tho the ambiance seems to be amazing, there is hardly any parking space for the customers.
Due to the shortage of staff, the service can be really slow during the busy hours of the restaurant.
To help narrow your choices here are a few recommended dishes:-
Arrabbiata (penne) - with tomato sauce, basil, oregano, red chili pepper, Olive oil and Parmesan cheese (3.200 OMR)
This pasta was creamy with the tangy taste of tomato. The flavor of mozzarella and spices added a richness to this flavorsome dish.

Tawouk in dough - with minced chicken tawouk, french fries, tawouk garlic sauce and pickles (1.700 OMR)
The chicken was juicy and well-cooked, and the garlicky taste with pickles added to a decent taste. It's a good option for those who don't consider eating spicy food

Chilli Baked Falafel - with baked falafel, tomato, lettuce, mint, turnip pickles and tahini sauce (1.400 OMR)
This freshly baked falafel tasted great. The sourness of turnip pickles is balanced with the nutty taste of tahini sauce. Crisp lettuce, mint, tomato were fresh, making the dish overall nutritious.

Regular Bread - 3 pcs (0.200 OMR)
This bread was fresh and soft. It can be combined with any dip or even tastes good with pasta.
Hummus Dip - with chickpeas, olive oil, tahini sauce(0.600 OMR)
This dip was fresh and melted in the mouth. It has a rich creamy texture with nutty and garlicky taste.
Zaatar Bread - 3 pcs(0.300 OMR)
The zaatar kills the blandness of regular bread by adding herbal and citrusy flavor to it. It was freshly baked.

Margherita Pizza - with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese and jalapeno (3.100 OMR)
This pizza baked with fresh dough and pizza sauce, it has a mixed taste mostly of the marinara with the creaminess of the cheese, while the jalapenos contribute to the spiciness of the dish. The pizza base was made of wheat flour which made the pizza healthy.

Carrot Cake - with carrot and fresh cream (2.100 OMR)
The cake was fresh and not too sweet, and had a great taste of carrot in it. It was moist and had a velvety cream cheese frosting.

Overall, this authentic restaurant is a great place to visit, be it for someone who is health-conscious or a foodie. This restaurant has got food options for all. I would surely revisit.
